The theme for the 2017 show was “Holland: Flowering the World.” I was inspired by Dutch master flower paintings and digitally collaged photos of the kind of spring bulbs and flowers that Holland is famous for. I also incorporated a touch of the contemporary “Dutch Wave” garden movement into it by giving it a free-flowing circular form that includes wispy ornamental grasses. Work produced for the show included print and digital ads; social media, website, and email graphics; outdoor advertising such as billboards, bus shelters, and bus sides; merchandise for the show store; and on-site signage. Awards received at the International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA) annual Pinnacle Awards: gold for best overall merchandise and silver for best clothing.
